From Portland to Klamath Falls:
Drive to Klamath Falls. There are several routes. I usually take I-5 South to Eugene, then take exit 188 south of Eugene and take OR-58 to US-97 (near Chemult), then head south on US-97 to Klamath Falls.
Note: check road conditions as snow, ice, and/or fires may require you to take a different route.
From Klamath Falls to Pronghorn Lake Ranch
(allow for about an hour):
1. Take 6th street (which is also Hwy OR-39 and OR-140) East towards Bonanza
2. Just past Parker’s Rod & Gun Rack, take a left at the light toward “Lakeview / Winnemucca” to continue east on OR-140 (Klamath Falls-Lakeview Hwy)
3. After about 13 miles, you will approach Dairy, OR. Stay right and take OR-70 (Dairy Bonanza Hwy) toward Bonanza and Lorella
4. Drive about 5 miles to Bonanza, OR
5. Just past Bonanza, the highway changes names to E Langell Valley Rd
6. Stay on E Langell Valley Road for about 14 miles. You will pass the Langell Valley Community Church and the road will do a couple of 90 degree curves right, left and right.
7. When you see the bright light blue-green house on your left, slow down. Cross a very tiny bridge and the ranch entrance gate is the first road your left.
8. Drive through the ranch entrance about a quarter mile on the dirt/gravel road.
9. You will come to a fork with roads going left, right and straight forward. Take the middle (straight) road. If you pass through any gates, leave any open gates open and any closed gates should be closed behind you.
10. Drive past the first (upper) lake until you see the cabins.
If you have a GPS, set it to this address and it should get you close:
12546 E Langell Valley Rd
Bonanza, OR
